Aladdin Lamp Rose Moonstone Florentine.

Aladdin Lamp Rose Moonstone Vase Lamp. This lamp is a rarity in that it does retain a large portion of it’s original paint inside the glass vase. Very few Florentine lamps have this sought after feature. The lamp is complete with the correct center draft tank and a model 12 burner. There is one difficult to detect nick near one of the corners on the foot. This minor defect may have been a factory defect when the vase was removed from the mould. See images for details.  The glass has a nice “flesh color” similar to the Flesh Moonstone Cathedral’s. This example is darker than most Florentines which often have a lite pink color. The center draft hole in the glass vase does show the typical discoloring where the release compound stained the bottom surface. This area also shows some very minor roughness where the lamp was removed from the mould – again, a common element of Florentine Vase Lamps.

• Tank has a good finish, with only one minor dent on the bottom edge.
• Complete Model 12 burner with vintage marked wick. Gears are smooth and tight.
• Modern flame spreader, all other parts are vintage.
• Gallery has some areas where some nickel can be seen with the tripod removed.
