Aladdin Model B Burner Restoration tool

Aladdin Lamp Model B Burner repair tool.

I made this tool when I was doing a lot of restoration and repair work. This tool is designed specifically to hold a Model B Aladdin burner base, thru the center of the inner tube, while providing a rest for the burner knob. Why? Have you’ve ever found a Model B Burner with a knob that was either loose on the shaft, or bent? If you’ve ever tried to solder that knob back to where is should be, centered and true, you’ll understand why I built this benchtop tool.  By freeing up my hands, the tool allowed to me to control my heat source and solder for those perfect reattachments. It’s worth noting, I intentionally created an off-set in the tool, as the wick raiser knob shaft on Model B burners does not run down the centerline of the long axis of the burner. (see image)
