Prior to Model #10 Aladdin Burners, the wicks for model 7 thru 9 used 2 methods to mount a woven, non-reinforced wick in a wick cage. This cage was used for model 8 and 9 burners, until the reinforced wick was introduced with model 10. If you are a nut (like me) in the sense that you like to restore your lamps back to exactly the way they came from the factory, then you have probably been looking for a wick cage like this for your model 8 or 9.
